Our promise

Fair tools for fiber artists & makers

This isn’t a tagline — it’s how we make decisions. The tools are free; paying only ever enters the picture if you choose to sell through the platform. That’s how we’re building Threadwick to be fair to the artists who design patterns and the makers who follow them.

  • Built for fiber artists & makers

Made by and for the people who design patterns and the people who make from them. Every decision starts with you — not growth charts.

  • Free to make, always

The studio is free to use: design, chart, organize and export without paying. Sell your work yourself, outside Threadwick, and we never take a cent — that’s by design.

  • You keep what you earn

Selling through Threadwick is entirely optional. If you choose it, fees are small, flat and shown up front, you keep the large majority — and pricing flexes with where you live and what you can spend.

  • No lock-in, no tricks

Your work is yours — export it anytime in open formats and leave whenever you like. No manipulative upsells, no engagement traps, no selling your data.

Crochet · granny squares

Chart granny squares the way you crochet them

Threadwick Studio starts with crochet granny squares. Build a chart stitch by stitch — it follows how you actually crochet and keeps every round lined up, with no graph-paper guesswork.
  • Place stitches in the order you’d crochet them — the chart grows round by round as you go.
  • No fiddly counting or symmetry math; Threadwick works out the spacing for you.
  • Charts use the standard crochet symbols, so they’re easy for anyone to read.

What’s on the hook

Threadwick is growing. Here’s what we’re making next — for the artists who design patterns, and the makers who follow them.
  • For makers

    Follow along, stitch by stitch

An interactive viewer that walks you through a pattern step by step — on any device, even your phone — and keeps track of your progress as you go.

  • For artists

    Made for tablet and pencil

Full touch and Apple Pencil support, so you can chart with your hands — the way you actually sit with your yarn.

  • Studio

    Plays nicely with Ravelry

Projects, patterns and progress sync automatically with your Ravelry account.

  • Studio

    Phone, tablet, PC

The whole studio, fully responsive on every screen.

  • For artists

A marketplace that’s fair to fiber artists

A completely optional way to sell: publish your patterns for others to browse and buy, we handle the payments — and you keep most of the revenue.

  • For artists

    Sell directly to your buyers

Issue license keys for your patterns. Buyers pay you directly — the money goes straight to you — and redeem their key in the app for permanent access. This stays, even after the marketplace arrives.

  • For artists

Every copy carries an invisible signature

Exports are fingerprinted invisibly. If a pattern turns up somewhere it shouldn’t, inspect the file and see exactly which copy it came from — protection for you, with no DRM hassle for honest makers.

  • For artists

    An API for your workflow

Plug Threadwick into your own systems or Ravelry, and generate personalized, fingerprinted PDFs for every buyer — automatically.

  • For artists

See exactly where each stitch lands

Charts that show precisely what you’re stitching into — the thing advanced patterns always leave out.

  • For artists

A PDF that’s ready out of the box

Exports with all your pattern data, beautifully laid out and customizable.

  • For artists

    Publish with a link

One link, and anyone can open your pattern.

  • For artists

    Your patterns, at their best

A best-in-class pattern viewer that sets your work apart.

  • For makers

    Projects that track themselves

Multi-pattern projects with notes and automatic tracking, synced to Ravelry.

  • For makers

    Charts you can shape

Adjust line weight, use your own yarn colors, customize your view. Your charts are no longer static images — you choose how you see them.

Roadmap — order and details may change as we make them.
